| dc.description.abstract | ภูมิหลัง: ปัจจัยสำคัญประการหนึ่งที่สัมพันธ์กับการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะมากเกินความจำเป็นคือการขาดความรู้และความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผล การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทราบและให้ความรู้และสร้างความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลในโรคติดเชื้อที่ระบบการหายใจส่วนบน อุจจาระร่วงเฉียบพลัน และแผลสด ของนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล วิธีการศึกษา: นักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ปีการศึกษา 2554 จำนวน 2700 คนได้รับแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 1 สำหรับประเมินความรู้และความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลก่อนการรณรงค์ แล้วจึงรณรงค์ให้ความรู้และสร้างความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลด้วยสื่อของโครงการส่งเสริมการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผล (Antibiotics Smart Use) นาน 1 สัปดาห์ หลังจากนั้นจึงให้นักศึกษาตอบแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 2 สำหรับประเมินความรู้และความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลภายหลังการรณรงค์ แบบสอบถามจำนวน 14 ข้อแรกประเมินความรู้และความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลซึ่งเหมือนกันทั้งแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 1 และ 2 ส่วนแบบสอบถามข้อ 15 ถึง 17 เป็นการสอบถามการปฏิบัติตนเมื่อผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามเป็นโรคติดเชื้อที่ระบบการหายใจส่วนบน อุจจาระร่วงเฉียบพลัน และแผลสดก่อนและหลังการรณรงค์ ผลการศึกษา: มีนักศึกษาตอบแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 1 และแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 2 ร้อยละ 65.8 และ 73.7 ของจำนวนนักศึกษาทั้งหมดตามลำดับ นักศึกษาที่ตอบคำถามแต่ละข้อของแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 1 ได้ถูกต้องมีตั้งแต่ร้อยละ18.7 ถึงร้อยละ 75.9 และนักศึกษาที่ตอบคำถามแต่ละข้อของแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 2 ได้ถูกต้องมีตั้งแต่ร้อยละ 51.7 ถึงร้อยละ 82.2 คะแนนเฉลี่ยของการตอบแบบสอบถามได้ถูกต้องของแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 2 มากกว่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยของการตอบแบบสอบถามได้ถูกต้องของแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 1 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทั้งนักศึกษาทั้งหมด นักศึกษาสายวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพและนักศึกษาสายวิชาอื่น อัตราการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะของผลการตอบแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 2 น้อยกว่าแบบสอบถามชุดที่ 1 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ สรุป: นักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลยังมีความรู้และความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลในโรคติดเชื้อที่ระบบการหายใจส่วนบน อุจจาระร่วงเฉียบพลัน และแผลสดน้อย การรณรงค์การใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลด้วยสื่อสามารถเพิ่มความรู้และความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับการใช้ยาปฏิชีวนะอย่างสมเหตุผลได้ และนักศึกษายังตั้งใจที่จะปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมการใช้ปฏิชีวนะด้วย | en_US |

| dc.description.abstractalternative | Background: One of the important factors associated with overuse of antibiotics is a lack of knowledge and awareness on rational use of antibiotics. The objectives of the study were to determine knowledge and awareness of rational use of antibiotics for upper respiratory tract infections, acute diarrhea, and simple fresh wounds among first year students of Mahidol University in the academic year 2011 at Salaya Campus, Mahidol University. Methods: 2,700 first year students were given the questionnaire set I to determine knowledge and awareness of rational use of antibiotics before the campaigns. The campaigns were executed by distributing the media of the Antibiotics Smart Use program. The students were given the questionnaire set II after one week of campaigning to determine knowledge and awareness of rational use of antibiotics after the campaigns. Results: Sixty six percent and 74% of the students responded to the questionnaire set I and II, respectively. The range of the correct responses of the questionnaire set I was 18.7% to 75.9% and that of the questionnaire set II was 51.7% to 82.2%. The average correct response of the questionnaire set II was significantly higher than that of the questionnaire set II. The number of the students who intended to use antibiotics for upper respiratory tract infections, acute diarrhea, and simple fresh wounds for the next episode of such ailments was significantly less than the rate of antibiotic use for such ailments experienced by the students. Conclusion: Knowledge and awareness of rational use of antibiotics for upper respiratory tract infections, acute diarrhea, and simple fresh wounds among first year students of Mahidol University in the academic year 2011 at Salaya Campus, Mahidol University were insufficient. The knowledge, awareness and attitude towards rational use of antibiotics of the students after the campaigns were much improved. | en_US |
