| dc.description.abstractalternative | This study compared efficacy of paper-assisted vs. model-assisted method of vegetable education for diabetes patient in improving dietary knowledge. Fifty-nine persons with noninsulin-dependent diabetes were randomly divided into 3 groups; routine, paper-assisted and model-assisted educational methods. Selfadministrated questionnaire and test were built and used to collect personal data and to evaluate knowledge about Thai vegetable exchange lists. Score in paper-assisted and model-assisted educational method were significant greater than routine method (p<0.05). Despite the score in model-assisted group were greater than paper-assisted group, few differences were seen (p= 0.3). Diabetic educator need to have enough proper resources to fulfill diabetes educational programs. | en_US |
