The result of using fasting blood sugar chart record on diabetic patientsThe research was to study blood level on diabetic patients after using Fasting Blood Sugar Chart Record (FBSCR) and study the pattern on self-care behaviors. The research was designed as quasi-experimental research. The sample was 201 diabetic patients at DM clinic in Photharam Hospital. Data were collect by using questionaires and collect data from patients chart record. Analyzed data by using SPSS/Pc program. The result was found that by using FBSCR those Diabetic patients who have initial FBS more than 150 mg percent benefit more than those who have lower FBS. There were significant decrease on the mean of FBS in the group of FBS level on 151-200 mg percent (mean decrease 20.6 mg percent, p-value <.001) and the group of FBS level over 200 mg percent (mean decrease 64.5 mgpercent, p-value <.001). The study for the pattern on self-care behaviors was found that, there were significant difference on the mean of FBS between the pattern 1 (good compliance on nutrition, exercise and medicine) and the pattern 8 (poor compliance on nutrition, exercise and medicine). The pattern 1 could control blood sugar level better than the pattern 8 (mean difference 50.9 mg percent p-value <.001).
