บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาวิเคราะห์เชิงปริมาณโดยวิธี Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) เพื่อวัดประสิทธิภาพด้านเทคนิคในการใช้ทรัพยากรของโรงพยาบาลชุมชนในจังหวัดขอนแก่น จำนวน 20 แห่ง จากข้อมูลผู้ป่วยและทรัพยากรของโรงพยาบาลที่เผยแพร่โดยสำนักงานสาธารณสุขจังหวัดขอนแก่น พ.ศ. 2548 การศึกษาแสดงว่าโรงพยาบาลขนาดกลาง 4 แห่ง (30 ถึง 60 เตียง มีประชากรมากกว่า 60,000 คน) มีประสิทธิภาพเต็มที่ ส่วนโรงพยาบาลขนาดเล็กมีค่าประสิทธิภาพโดยเฉลี่ยต่ำมาก ทั้งนี้โรงพยาบาลกลุ่มที่มีประสิทธิภาพเต็มที่มีค่าอัตราส่วนผู้ป่วยต่อการใช้ทรัพยากรสูงกว่าโรงพยาบาลกลุ่มที่มีประสิทธิภาพไม่เต็มที่ ซึ่งแสดงถึงความมีประสิทธิภาพในการใช้ทรัพยากร
บทคัดย่อ
The propose of this study was to evaluate technical efficiency of twenty community
hospitals in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand. The number of patients and the resources provided by
Khon Kaen Provincial Public Health Office since 2005 were analyzed using the data envelopment
analysis (DEA) method. The study revealed that, four medium-sized community hospitals (30-60
beds), located in areas populated with more than 60,000 inhabitants, were highly efficient, while
those of the small-sized community hospitals exhibited very low efficiency indices. It noted
that the patient/resource ratios among the efficient hospitals were significantly higher than those of
the inefficient hospitals, suggesting that they ware efficient in using the resource provided.
