Abstract
Since the year 2019 till present (2022), all countries around the world have confronted with the Covid-19 pandemic. The Government of each country has launched several public health measures in responsive to the changes of the Covid situation as well as its own country context. The main objectives of this study were to prevent the spread of the disease and to reduce the infected cases and deaths. Public health measures included social distancing, city lockdown, travel restriction, and closure of public service places, restaurants, or schools. Those measures could cause negative impacts in several sectors, such as economic, environmental, and educational sectors. The Covid impact on education was of het concern as education is the foundation of human capital development. It has been found that approximately 1.6 billion children and adolescents (more than 90% of the total learners) in 190 countries could not physically attend their schools for several months due to school closure. In addition, above 100 million teachers and school staff had been affected by the rapid closures of schools. School closures resulted in the dropouts of about 24 million students. During the pandemic, many countries had adopted the online education approach in order to k continue the study activities for children. This study aimed to investigate the education management and health promotion and prevention activities for primary school children during the Covid-19 pandemic, and to develop policy recommendations for improving the quality of primary school education management and health promotion and prevention activities for children and parents for better preparation and responsiveness given any outbreaks in the future.
