Pharmacy Business Model for Pharmacists in Healthcare System of Thailand and the Management Approach for Service Value

Abstract
A community pharmacy is an establishment that provides primary medicine and health services in the community of a country. It plays an important role in ensuring that people have access to the medicines they need and are safe from using them. Providing advice and management of primary health problems to the community. Pharmacies also have the potential to be an important public health mechanism in the country in creating the value of health services for the public in many ways according to the development of medical science. Changes in health systems and social contexts Especially pharmacies with pharmacists who are entrepreneurs and practice professionally directly to the needs of health services in the community. It is in demand under the government's public health service policy due to the importance of pharmacies in supporting people to access essential primary health services through convenient and timely channels to reduce the burden of caring for illnesses of the public and hospitals. However, the mission of pharmacies to provide health services to the community is a business operation by the private sector that relies on the income component to support the business itself. This is the origin of the research project to design a pharmacy business for pharmacists that creates value as a business guide for pharmacists in the country's desirable health services. and received research funding from the National Institutes of Health. In 2024 The results show that the pharmacy business model can create desirable health services and practical possibilities for pharmacists who are operating pharmacies and want to develop service features to create value, including pharmacists who want to enter the pharmacy profession. It can be considered as an alternative to use as a business model. 4 forms Starting from a basic pharmacy business model for pharmacists with the characteristics of service values that focus on being a dependency on medicines and medical supplies when needed by the community. The second model is the pharmacy model of the health system network, which helps the community to have convenient and fast access and effectively and supports pharmacies to receive more attention from service recipients. Pattern 3: Pharmacy model specializing in health specialties Suitable for pharmacists with specialized professional competencies to create service value, and the fourth model is an innovative pharmacy model with business characteristics that use innovation in health science and technological advances to increase the quality of personalized services. There are suggestions for pharmacists who are interested in how to assess their readiness and develop themselves to develop the pharmacy business effectively.
